Process Operations Superintendent

The Process Operations Superintendent will provide leadership and direction to the Process Operations Team. Develop, implement and lead planning operational activities for the processing plants, heap leach pad, and/or refinery. Optimize process production through leadership and coordination of subordinates, the process staff under the direction of the Process Manager. Contribute to the development of a maintenance and process budget and issue weekly variance reporting against the budget. Manage and implement company safety and environmental standards and set expectations of the same for the process operations staff. Review departmental spare parts inventories to ensure sufficient number of critical spares are held in inventory to support these functions. Supervise, mentor and develop process direct reports (General Supervisor/Supervisors/Merrill Crowe Operators/Heap Leach Operators) to ensure deliverables are understood and met.


Accountable for the planning and departmental procedures and processes. Edit and approve all process standard operating procedure.
Knowledge of business and involvement or spearhead strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Direct, empower, develop, build accountability and a safety culture for direct reports.
Must be able to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Supervise, mentor and train the workforce to achieve consistent operations, ensure cross shift communication is occurring.
Identifies problem areas and communicates with the Process Manager, Process Maintenance Superintendent to provides solutions. Develop, and maintain the budgeting and forecasting for proper cost control and production planning.
Ensures Operational employees, contractor and visitors follows the company, State and Federal and Environmental Standards


Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a Process Operations Plant with experience in Merrill Crowe and Heap Leach operations a plus.
Ability to work with a team environment and excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to develop budgeting, set priorities, meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, and to develop, support, and promote safety, environmental awareness and grow the technical talent of direct reports.
