He brings over 15 years of direct industry experience, having worked with leading companies including Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold, Kennecott Utah Copper, Freeport-McMoRan (formerly Phelps Dodge), Kinross Gold, ASARCO, Coeur Mining, Walter Energy, Shell Canada and a range of junior and mid-tier companies across the Americas and internationally. Bob has also led expatriate recruiting teams supporting major projects such as; Barrick’s Pueblo Viejo Mine start-up (Dominican Republic: USD $3.8 billion) and Kinross Gold’s Tasiast Mine expansion (Mauritania, Africa: USD $3.5 billion). Bob is an experienced mining recruiter with an extensive network of key industry contacts worldwide. He has been a member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) and has made numerous visits to company headquarters, industry conferences and remote mine sites to personally meet professionals working in the field. As the practice leader for MSI, Bob works directly with many clients in setting engagement direction and strategy development. During her tenure, she worked as a meeting planner, specializing in corporate communication with precious metals companies, resulting in the organization of premier conferences around the world.

Jan has a vast network of companies she has dealt with, which involved working directly with CEO’s and high level management during her many years at the Denver Gold Group. Her strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to build trusted relations are a tremendous asset in this sector. Jan remains based out of Denver, Colorado USA.

Brad Blackburn - Mine Staffing InternationalBrad Blackburn oversees the Birmingham, Alabama office of MSI, specializing in the Coal, Oil & Gas and Energy sectors, with additional experience in hard rock mining with base and precious metals producers. Brad has over 25 years of recruiting experience with 10 of those years focused in the mining industry. He has staffed operations at leading companies such as Drummond Company, Walter Energy, Freeport-McMoRan and Kinross Gold. Brad has also led expatriate recruiting teams supporting major projects such as Drummond’s mines in Colombia, South America (Mina Pribbenow: USD$3 billion and El Descanso: USD$1 billion), and Kinross Gold’s Tasiast Mine Expansion (Mauritania, Africa: USD$3.5 billion+).

Brad continues to manage ongoing recruitment efforts at some of the largest mine sites in North America, sourcing and screening candidates to fill jobs ranging from skilled trades to numerous technical disciplines, on up to mid-level and senior management.
